Fossil Identification Day

Fossils are everywhere. They are found across the globe — at the tops of mountains, at the bottoms of seas and everywhere in between. Sometimes they are even found in our own backyards!

However, not everything we find is a fossil.

Have you found a fossil?
Find out for sure by bringing it (or up to 5 specimens) to our

Fossil Identification Clinic:

April 27    May 25    June 29       11:00 am – 4 pm

Our museum curator, Guy Darrough, will look at some specific details like weight, color, porosity, etc. and let you know what you really found!

Maybe you found a crinoid; a trilobite; or maybe a dinosaur!
